Camaret sur Aygues (Vaucluse) - Le Ravelin

   Le Ravelin est un ancien poste de garde qui défendait l’entrée principale du village fortifié, il était à l’origine composé des deux tours. En 1683, une voûte fut rajoutée et permit l’installation de l’horloge et du campanile en fer forgé. La reconstruction actuelle date de 1708, et 1750 pour la plateforme.

   The Ravelin is an old guardroom wich defended the main access at the fortified village, it comprised first only the two towers. In the year 1683 a vault was added to allow the installation of the clock and the wrought iron bell tower. The current reconstruction is dated 1708 and 1750.
